Abstract
Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) is a rare subtype of peripheral T cell lymphoma, which is clinically, pathologically, and genetically heterogeneous. The disease is characterizedby large CD30 positive anaplastic cells that usually have horseshoe or kidney-shaped nucleiand infiltrate lymph nodes. Given the rarity of ALCL and its non-specific symptoms, it ischallenging to consider a differential diagnosis at first; however, meticulous tissue biopsy andimmunohistochemical staining can diagnose it. Recently, we encountered a patient who com-plained of facial pain, trismus and numb of lip for three months and was diagnosed with ana-plastic lymphoma kinase negative ALCL of the sphenoid sinus. Here we report this rare casewith review literature.
